what i see is IMO very very good! I think it needs quite a bit of time to achieve this shape, thumbs up to whomever got him there.
The current shot looks very "set" which decreases striking power and in increases consistency. I suggest the following, that is to pick up the speed with the help of the legs, no change needed for the swing. This can be obtained by only taking a longer and slower third step. In other words, 1,2 stays as it is, 3 is longer and slower, 4 is shorter and stronger (which is what he is currently doing) and 5 needs no change at all.
NOTE: this technique is only for advance bowlers with soft and consistent release. Also for better reference, search on youtube for TJ, RASH, PDW, or Mallot. You gotta keep in mind that ur son is going to grow big time on size when reaching 16-17, keep him away from those big hand hitters because that will increase inconsistency, and generally theres no way back. As left hander, speed dominant tweener generally is good enough.
