Here is a link to one of my really short videos.  Feel free to critique anything you see fit, I'm always looking to improve my game.

And if you take this link to the user name "Sportskraz," that's my buddy and he has all my videos in his pile.  They're all titled "n00dlejester bowling"

Thanks!

I'm sure others can go more in depth, but the first thing I noticed was a lack of a pushaway, which resulted in you having to force your arm to swing back and then forward again.  You had to bend your elbow a bit to accomplish this too, which can hurt consistency and accuracy.  Push the ball out further away from your body in a line straight underneath your shoulder.  Then let the ball fall into a swing from there.  You should be able to relax your arm a little more and free up your swing.  This should give you more accuracy, possibly more speed as well, and it will feel more comfortable and natural.

This may sound odd, but I keep my arm pretty dead during my approach/release.  I worked very hard to not grip the ball and to keep that whole dead/pendulum arm thing.  And when I need to throw it harder (think Viper, Cheetah, etc), I raise the ball towards my chest and noticeably push away compared to that.  But you are right, when I start to struggle or I'm not getting the reaction I want I start forcing the ball and getting inconsistent.

I keep my hand and arm both very, very relaxed as well.  Using a pushaway lets me keep my arm swinging consistently straight and keeps my timing the same every ball.  When I'm losing accuracy, it's usually because I'm getting lazy with my pushaway and stopping it a little short.

That is good to know!  Thank you for that.  I have noticed lately that I've been almost exaggerating the hitch in my approach (when I sort of drop the ball lower on the first step), and it cost me big time when I wasn't bowling on top of my game and got lazy.
