Without getting really into it, slowing down a bit would help, you do run up to the line which may cause the popping up at release. It does kind of look like you really try to "get after it", you may want to try and let the ball roll a little more off your hand, instead of trying to rip through it.

Your style is very similar to my own, I notice you do a few things I have worked hard to stop doing, for instance your left hand coming all the way across your body like that before you release the ball often promotes pulling the ball, you may want to work on trying to keep it to the left.

But it looks good overall man, keep it up.

wow im impressed, you sure you''re 13? game looks solid, one thing i always try to teach the young guys is hand positions, learn as many as you can, and learn how they work for you. they open up so many more options for you, with proper hand positions, a 4 ball arsenal can give you 8 different looks with just 1 different hand position. you have a great foundation to work on, now add little things here and there and you can go far!

and i agree, take your time on the approach. i had the same problem when i was younger, i just wanted to get up there and get it done. my old coach told me a long time ago, make a mental checklist in your mind, and dont start your pushaway until you''ve ran through the list. i have 3 or 4 things that i always check, my alignment to my breakpoint, the feel of my grip, and my setup. if 1 of the 3 doesnt feel right, i back off and reset. it really just reinforces slowing yourself down. what your doing is like an airplane pilot not checking his gauges before takeoff, would you want to fly on his plane, lol?

Looks pretty good, my critique is your push-off. Your elbow is already away from your body the moment you push off. A good rule of thumb is to keep your elbow close to your body, During your backswing when the elbow passes by the body is should almost touch your skin as you pass your ribs. By doing so you will be more consistent.

Also during your push-off your shoulders automatically open up. I know you hit the ball, but do you ever have to play up the boards? If you don't, i'd recommend working on squaring up your shoulders to play more direct.

Other than that, you look solid. Keep up the good work

ball distance from body ...

it's very obvious you're 'ripping thru' the ball at the bottom....let it happen ....slow it down....

Good job

Hmmmm... That is pretty impressive for a kid your age. I had a game a lot like yours at that age. I would be very careful, that much speed and power puts a lot of stress on your body. That can be a lot of trouble for your body when you are still growing. I would say you should slow down and set better in the beginning of your approach for sure. As far as slowing down, watch the PBA crankers, even though they are throwing the ball hard with a ton of hand they still take their time during their approach to get to the line. This seems like it would be pointless to work on but if you can slow down your approach your timing almost instantly becomes more consistent. There is no reason to hurry to the foul line, it does not add speed or power to your shot, you are almost stopped by the time you release your ball. The approach is simply for balance and timing.

As far as the actual approach, I would really work hard at staying more centered and compact at the foul line. You seem to tend to be off balance after release which usually means you are off balance during release. Also, I would think about working on your release timing in reference to where you are releasing in your swing. You are holding the ball a little to long. This is what is causing you to have to really rip on the ball to get revs to match your speed. If you can get your thumb to be coming out right next to your left ankle you will impart the maximum speed at RPMs possible. That should help you use less muscle in both your swing and release.

Understand, that this criticism I am giving you are points not usually brought up until a bowler is much older than you are. I am not trying to find little flaws in your game, I only point them out because there are no glaring holes in your form.

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
