People who drift a lot inside tend to be power players who drift inside to help them swing the ball and open up the lanes. On the other hand, most lefties I've seen tend to walk fairly straight, since they play straighter angles on the lane. I think that's why it looks so unusual. We're just not used to lefties who play outside angles drifting much.
FWIW, the straighter you played the lanes, the better your look was. I wasn't too fond of that particular ball reaction however, it looked like it was a little too early, which made it tough to get the right angle to take out the flat 7 or the heavy 6.
