NTense LevRG vs Break Point reaction video
« on: March 27, 2009, 02:18:39 AM »
I made a reaction video comparing the Morich Ntense LevRG and the 900 Global Break Point. Here are the drill specs:

NTense LevRG
30 x 2.5 x 45

Break Point
30 x 3.75 x 50

My targeting was a little off but I tried to get the general idea of how they react off the spot.  The Ntense was definitely earlier strong rolling arc to the pocket while the BP was slightly longer and more angular on the back end.  Even at 4000 the BP was able to handle as much oil as the Ntense, I was very impressed!

These are my line up balls for the heavier/longer patterns on the PBA shots.  I've also got a Break Pearl and a polished LevRG for the shorter stuff.

Thanks for the video insidedrive. It does look like the breakpoint has more back end, as the Ntense LevRG has more of a role then hook. Have you worked on trying to get your hand to rotate more around the ball at release? Just thought I would ask

Keep the NT dull at 1000 abralon and watch the ball turn the corner with more hook than the Global. Also when the NT is dulled the ball hits the hole with great hitting power. With the shine on the NT you made the ball slide to long. This ball is made to be left out of the box condition. Give it a try you won't be dissappointed.

River,
More axis tilt and rotation is something I always try and do!  It's an ongoing learning curve for sure.  I've finally gotten to a consisten release so the fine tuning of lifting the ball is coming along slowly but surely!

Medichal,
Actually in the video the ntense actually IS at 1000 grit dull.  I sanded it the day before with a dry 1000 abralon pad and finished it off with clean and dull.  The shine you are seeing on the ball is strictly from any oil that the ball picked up during the video session and the bright lights of the house we were on!

The NTense compared to my BP is not nearly as sharp and strong in the back end.  It's a totally different reaction.  The purpose of this video wasn't to show that the Ntense isn't as strong as the BP, but to show the difference in shape and reaction.  I've also bowled on heavier patterns with both balls and the Ntense is able to recover a bit more than the BP because it doesn't require that angularity to finish.

I think the Break Point is a very underrated ball right now, and hopefully this will give people a second look in addition to seeing how great the Ntense is.

Thank you for your response back to me. I now understand what you were trying to point out. My bad.
