ok.
some will give more detail and better advice but just a few general thoughts:
- keep your balance (all of you) at the foulline... esspecially keep your upper body steady
- release: Try to avoid coming around the ball... true revs and strong hook comes from just going with the hand up and not turning around the ball... you actually take power and revs out of the ball when you come around it
Here are seom vids:
Chris Barnes (Brunswick Promo Vid but his release is imho one of the cleanest and best - of course other pros also have clean and good releases)
Turn off the "bla bla" or don't even watch if you don't like Chris barnes
( I mean turn off the sound and just watch):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xjdDJYKqPI at 0:42, 1:20 and 1:53
(keeps his hand behind the ball just pushing it but creating revs with the upswing of the arm... you can also pull your fingers.. )
same here... a good Vid imho:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqaB7-rSf00or just take a look at the Vids on my SIG.
this is the one fpr the release:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGIyYa5egu8&feature=relatedbut also take a look at the others for approach... etc...
overall... not a bad start! Keep going and have an eye for each other to correct this and that.
There are three major things in bowling that are most important:
timing
balance
fun
the last is most important
keeps you motivated
