As for you, you need to learn to bend that knee of yours. Your small, use it to your advantage. With some knee bend and less bend at your waist you can smooth out that release and get the ball right down onto the lane (ala Norm Duke).

Secondly, your first step is too big. You seem to have very little room between you and the foul line on your last step. By taking a smaller first step, it will allow more room before the foul line for you to slide into the shot. This is where most guys get their power (from their legs) on their pivot and slide steps.

Just some things to think about. You do have a nice loose arm swing though. Keep up the good work.

I also saw that! When I posted the video, it seems like a take a huge step, then three small steps and a slide. No momentum to the foul line.

Noticed your friends wrist isn't cupped.  His hand in the 2nd video looks like his wrist actually broke back a little.  Therefore the ball doesn't move much.  Either a brace, lighter ball, &/or practice can take care of the that.

Agree w/kid, a little more knee bend for you & then stay down on the follow through before coming up will give you a little better balance.  Your 1st video looked like you were a touch off balance.  Your next 2 looked liked good follow through, but no knee bend to drive the ball.

Ok. What you want to do is when you are at home, just practice your footing. Make sure that first step is small no matter what you do. Eventually, it will wort into your muscle memory and it will be something that you just do without thinking about.

Secondly, you might want to consider taking a step back on the approach. You stat with your heals on the second set of dots. Maybe put the tips of your toes on that set of dots instead. That should give you about a extra almost foot of slide before the foul line, allowing you to get down into the shot better.

As for getting that knee bend, start by just focusing on keeping your shoulders up. Once you are able to keep your shoulders up and not bending forward at the waist, you and integrate that knee bend. You can do that by on your last step (slide step) going down as if you are about to sit into a chair. When you go to sit in a chair you let your knees bend until you hit the char, and same idea goes here (you just dont go all way way down)
