You're a 5-stepper.

Stand up front on the approach, and take short steps to get to the foul line.

Your pushaway is just ever so slightly after your 2nd step, which in your case is OK, because as you get to the line you stay put and wait for the ball to get decent leverage.

Because of your slow steps, you generate average speed (not speed dominant), but your revs and speed seem to match up pretty well (based on the 2 shots you've posted).

Short steps and short backswing equal patience, which usually equals accuracy.

As long as you remember this fundamental: move in the direction of your miss, you'll be a good bowler, perhaps even excellent if you put in much time and dedication.

Keep up the good work.

Good luck and good bowling.

I'm not a real good person at giving advice.  But I am 5'10 and I used to stand where you are throwing.  Since we have such long legs and arms we can step further back to get more of a better flow all the way to the first set of dots.

Its just what i've been taught.  It seems to make sense because afterwards I feel like I could get better leverage by eliminating my awkward flow.  My slide was more evident in my approach.  Just give it a try it will not hurt.
