Raidernation,
I am not doubting the hook potential of the ball. I was just stating that the video in question does not properly show it. First, as I stated, this is a burned up shot, the videoee (if that is a word) states he bowled 2 games prior to shooting the video. So how much of the hook is due to the ball, and how much is due to the prior games? Also, there is no mention of the shot, unless there is a voiceover which I didn't hear as I saw this at work. So is this a long, heavy Sports pattern, in which case the motion shown in the video would be quite impressive, or is this a house shot in which case the video doesn't real show much at all. Lastly, what was the drilling on the ball, is it drilled to go long, drilled to hook early, somewhere in between (again if in a voiceover I missed it)?!? While I appreciate the effort put in by the original poster, if you are going to do it, why not at least do it right and show the true nature of the ball. How hard would it have been, if after the bowler rolled his 2 games and found the best line for the ball, to move to other lane of the pair to shoot the video? That way we have a fresh shot and no worries about how much of the motion comes from he burn created. And it doesn't take much to put in the post or in the video what the pattern is and what the drilling is.
I never meant this as an attack on the poster or the ball. It was meant as constructive criticism to help the poster put out better products in the future, so that they can show something that others can find really useful.
