In a word, YES!
For me, with the drilling I have on it, this ball has fantastic recovery down the lane. However, with the stronger pin-PAP distance, it does need some head oil...otherwise it burns a little too much energy in the front.
Compared to other balls in my arsenal, the NHP is a few boards stronger than my Hei$t, with about the same length. You might find this hard to believe, but my Hei$t is drilled quite weak -- 5.5x5, with the pin well above the fingers for added length.
The NHP, in my opinion, could be anything from smooth-rolling benchmark to an angular pearl used to really open the lane up. As I had no need for the benchmark (Hei$t does that well enough), and as I needed a ball with a strong, continuous breakpoint, I chose a layout that would give be good length with a strong move. I moved the pin closer to the VAL, while keeping a strong(ish) pin-PAP distance, in order to accomplish this.
Hope this helps.
