Would Like to See Lower Rev/Speed Videos
« on: May 22, 2012, 09:18:25 AM »
I wish there are more videos with lower speed and rev rate people demostrating bowling ball reaction.  Not everyone throws 17 mph and 300+ revs.  There are people that throw 15-mph and 225- revs.  With speed and high revs everything looks good. With lower speed and revs you get a better idea of what a ball can do.  For example:

Check out the vids on www.tamerbowling.com, especially Karen Collura rolling the Brick.

Thanks for the reference.    Checked out that video--show the ball has the tendency to set up in the back.

Thanks for the mention here.

Our reviews are independent and we try to get a mix of people throwing the equipment while maintaining some continuity.  Karen has worked with us on some videos as you mentioned.
If you check out the recent Defiant Edge and Storm Fire Road videos, we have cranker, tweener, and stroker.  We compare to the most relevant comparison ball.  For example, Fire Road to Crossroad and Defiant Edge to Defiant.  We also use Digitrax in the videos so you can see the different tracks and stats.

We have also done broader lineup comparisons:

http://tamerbowling.com/index.php/2011-brunswick-lineup-review/

In terms of sales, I'll let the manufacturers speak to that.  However, I think that it is only fair that a certain style bowler gets to see the ball of interest demo'd with that style.  Sometimes it's really hard to grasp the differences between balls by watching a different style bowler.  Sometimes a big difference for a cranker is negligible for a stroker, etc.

Granted, I can see the audience retention go down when the stroker demos, but I will keep doing it as I think it is relevant.

If anyone has any feedback to our videos and reviews, would be glad to hear it.
Thanks.
