I do like how you get the ball "into" the lane and working right a way. I noticed your point of contact and target line varied on nearly every shot. Try to smooth out your footwork as well as keeping your head more still. Theres no way for you to consistantly see your target with your head moving around like that. You also might want to use your own advise and loosen up your swing. Dont try to muscle it so much

Well the shots werent taken one after the other and I was trying different balls and stuff so I think on every shot I was trying something new. I have been trying to work on my footwork and keeping my head steady, but it takes time lol. I am also not really muscling it that much, my swing feels really loose to me so idk what else to do :/

I take 6 steps lol, I used to take 5 but I felt really rushed getting the ball into my swing. The reason that I have a figure 8 arm swing (besides trying to imitate Wes Malott lol) is that I used to have an inverted loop, and when I went to the Wichita bowling camp, they said that to correct the inverted loop, to pushaway to the left. I have also been trying to work on being more straight up throughout my approach but its hard to do that and try to get more knee bend at the same time lol. I also am not putting that much on the ball, that was my normal release without trying to take anything off or putting alot on it, if you want to see me put some revs on it I can do that lol.

I like a 4 step approach personally.  Almost all approaches are based on 4 steps anyway.  Anything more than that is just adding extra motion and timing.
Set the ball up high (above waist level, while standing straight up), start the swing when your first step starts, and viola.

Watch your approach in the video, you will see in every shot you do everything in the last 4 steps.  You take 2 steps without moving the ball, then start the ball on the 3rd step, take a studder step on 4, power step on 5, then slide on 6.

-Get rid of some the extra motion.  -  I would move to a 4 or 5 step approach.
-Lose the loop in your swing.  -  try setting the ball up more to the side of your body in the swing plane, instead of in your gut.

Whatever you do, give it a chance to work.  Do it for 20 games, and get comfortable with it.  The biggest mistake most people make, is doing it for a game, and proclaiming it didn't help.

I like your game, footwork is nice and even, head is steady throughout your approach, balance is fantastic.

Whatever, you don't have a figure 8 swing. Inside/out swing, yes, figure 8, no. The only "issue" I saw, is that you don't get the ball tucked back in close to your ankle, robbing you of leverage. But this only happened on a few shots. Other than that you look fine to me. I'm not going to try and advise you against listening to the coaches at Wichita, but what happens if you push away slightly right instead of left? Eventually you have to get the ball going right in some form or fashion.

You have excellent balance.

I don't see a problem using 6 steps.

You might work on your push away.  The push away is a little short therefore you need to use muscle to bring the ball into the back swing.  This inhibits a free armswing.  Try starting the ball at waist high level and then pushing the ball out and letting the ball fall into the swing.
