This ball shows off it's newest technology by adding a High RG symmetrical core with the Addaptive f(P²) Pearl coverstock, which produces a bowling ball that will be loved by bowlers looking for a ball that skids easily down the land and maintains traction through the backend. The Meanstreak is like a Karma Solid on steroids.  It breezes through burnt heads just a little better than the Karma Solid, is just a little quicker to respond to the dry thean the great Karma Solid, and the backend is explosive compared to the Karma Solid.  This ball will be many peoples league ball or the ball you go to during transition on PBA or Sport conditions.  You can wheel it as much as uyou like without losing too much energy through the pins.

I compared this against a Karma Solid and C-System Versa Max with similar layouts and factory finishes.  The Meanstreak was stronger than the Karma off the spot by a full arrow and a little cleaner through the fronts than the Versa Max with the overall hook on a THS being similar.  In the puddle of oil theVersa Max seemed comparable in overall hook to the Meanstreak but off the dry the Meanstreak was stronger.  On the THS this ball made the conditions look like they had a funnel to the pocket.  It was almost cheating how much room the ball created.  On the Sport conditions this ball looked much better on the transition and burn than it did the fresh, which should be no surprise given the length the cover provides.

This is a league bowlers dream ball and a tournament players savior for late in the block.  A definite must have in the bag.

Likes:For a ball that is for lighter volumes of oil it sure make a good move to the pocket. I am able to stay in the track area and play straighter longer on the THS. It is really clean through the front part of the lane but will make a good move to the pocket. If you are bowling on old beat up wood you need one of these in your bag. It will really work well on the burn.

The Versamax was my favorite of all the Brunswick releases last year because of its versatility and easy length but there were certain situations where I could use a little extra movement down lane.  The Meanstreak is the answer to this issue.  It is a little weaker on the fresh conditions but a little stronger on the breakdown with a stronger move at the breakpoint.   I have an early laydown point and prefer to slow hook the ball and the Meanstreak is just the ball for this type of application.  It clears the heads with ease and makes it to the ideal breakpoint even when I let up on the speed a little or get it down early.  It also allows me to feed the ball a little further right as the lanes breakdown and it hooks up to the pocket area with authority.  The pin carry is well above average as the ball saves lots of rotational energy and as long as there is enough friction the Meanstreak will return from almost any where on the lane.  This ball has quickly become my new favorite go to ball on medium conditions as it suits my style of play perfectly.  If you are looking for a versatile ball with a strong breakpoint on medium lane conditions check out the new Meanstreak from Brunswick!

Brunswick continues releasing balls that most players like to see, long and strong.  The Meanstreak is that kind of ball.  We assessed this ball to be a perfect stepdown from the Versa-Max.  It goes a bit longer with the higher RG but makes a strong angular move on the backend.  We absolutely love the Versa-Max and never thought it lacking backend.  However, the Meanstreak is very punchy on the backend.  You can square up with this ball and let it do the work punching through the pocket.  It could be a nice stand-alone piece on the typically lighter volumes most people see, but we still like the more controlled Versa reaction to start with as the benchmark. 
In the High Performance line, the maxxed-out is clearly the biggest hooking ball, the Versa-Max being the everyday benchmark, and the Meanstreak being the step down when lanes start to dry up and chasing the Versa-Max too far in leaves you corner pins.

Likes:This ball is perfect when the shot with my Aura breaks down. I can stay on the same mark and adjust my speed and keep the same angle. This ball really slides thru burnt heads and still has plenty left on the back to crush the pins. I drilled it with the pin down because of the shortness of the pin to start and I thought I would not get the reaction I wanted but I was really surprised and pleased with the reaction I got. I can play this ball straight up the boards or move in and get a sharp angle. This is the perfect ball for medium to dry lanes. Thanks Brunswick keep up the good work.

Ball Roll - The Meanstreak was very clean through the front part of the lane and seemed to pick up well in the mid-lane, and had a strong arcing reaction on the backend.

What did I compare this ball too?  I compared this ball to my C-System Vera Max.  On the fresh the Versa Max seemed still outperform the Meanstreak as it provided a little more controllable reaction.  When the heads started to go away and the Versa-Max started to lose its energy I could go to the Meanstreak and it would retain it’s energy and turn the corner.

Strengths – Very sharp looking color scheme.  Very nice shelf appeal. With the Meanstreak getting through the heads so clean, I can play move in a bit, and throw it to the dry and have confidence it’s going to come back with vengeance!  The way this ball drives through the pins.  I believe this ball is one of the hardest hitting balls I’ve thrown!

No weakness’s at this time.
