Danger Zone Pro-HP Distance
« on: December 31, 1969, 06:00:00 PM »
The Danger Zone Pro-HP Distance is the first high-gloss proactive. It is designed for power players who need more length and the ball offers the greatest skid/snap of any Zone Pro. It provides more mid-lane arc and smoother breakpoints than reactive coverstocks and is best on medium-dry to medium-oily lanes, or for broken down conditions. The ball features a shiny micro-replication proactive surface abrasion manufacturing process that does not utilize any chemical application to achieve its high gloss. The specifications are: Color: Black; Coverstock: Proactive DTX-1 Urethane; Surface Factory Finish: Shiny Micro-replication abrasive; Available Weights: 10-16 (including 11 ½); Part Number: 60-103019; Hook Potential: 20-12; Typical Length: 4; Typical Backend: 11; RG Maximum: 2.609; RG Minimum: 2.564; RG Differential: 0.045; Average RG: 5.3; Track Flare Potential: 8.9.

Ok this was one of my first bowling balls that i have ever owned...i bought it used for like 80 dollars and was it a great deal. For me this ball is more of a skid snap than a distance but that is a good thing. I used this ball for about 2 months after i bought it and put it in the bag and now i pulled it out again, resurfaced it and boy is this ball awesome...i think that this ball is more for medium-heavy to light-heavy oil. The Specs are:

1 inch pin
16 lbs.
3 oz top weight

and this ball kicks some serious AS*
The only thing i dont like about this  ball is that brunswick discontinued it...

A whole lot of price, not much on performance. Had this ball for about 6 months before selling. I guess I can say that on the right shot this ball could be strong, but it's nothing special overall. It seemed to be confused as to whether it wanted to handle some oil or not. I realize that the HPH was the heavy oil ball of the pair, that's why I got this one for mediums. What I soon realized is that it wanted to be too aggressive on most mediums, but too weak on significant oil. Coverstock alterations didn't help the cause all that much. The ball was sharp looking, and when it was right it was very right. However, it was too condition specific and quirky to be worth anything more than a 7 out of 10.

Bowling is without a doubt the dumbest, most pointless, most idiotic excuse for a game that has ever been invented. So, what time are we bowling tomorrow?

Had my first 300 with this ball. Kind of unpredictable as far as lane conditions.  When it hits the right amount of oil though boy does this thing hit solid.  Bought it for $25 used from a pro shop in my area so I think I have gotten my money's worth so far.

I have used this ball for about the past 3 to 4 years.  I am on my second one and this rocks.  On Dec. 20, 2003 I shot 161-289-267 for a 717 series.  I have found that this ball works good (depending on how the drill pattern and how much offset you want) works really good on medium - medium heavy oil.  For what its worth i have shot 5 or 6 700 series over the last 2 yrs.  I have shot alot of 600 series with this ball.

It was a good ball back in its time. There are newer balls that make this ball look like a pillow.

Picked this ball up from a guy locally used for free, got it plugged and drilled it up stacked and it just rulz the dry lanes.  I have already shot a 254 and a pile of 230 games on dry lanes.  My advise is to find one and get it stacked for them dry lane conditions when practicing.

My very first High Performance ball ever. Love it! Works on any lane Condition. I have it for so many years. I retired this ball 2 years ago. Recently I'm running inventories of all of my retired balls then a bowler saw this ball roll while playing with it and he offer me to Sell it for $70. Well, Sure Why Not! I surely regret selling it but I know I could use it buying a newer ball.

Overall it's a Very Good retired ball.
