Just bought the python. The ball is great. Had mine drilled with the pin under my ring finger. what i wanted was a ball that gets into its roll early and has a long smooth arc. This ball does it. Pocket hits are hard with good carry. I find off pocket hits kinda soft. Anyways love this ball. In a nut shell its helped add 30 pins to my average.

I've been rolling the Python for about 2 months now and I have to say that this ball has received the most use of any ball that I currently own.
I have had limited success with Brunswick balls over the past two seasons. The Inferno line was a huge success for me but since then I have been unable to obtain the kind of reaction that I was looking for. Then came the Python....
I have mine drilled 55 X 4.75 X 70 (left handed). For me this puts the pin under and slightly right of the center of my bridge. The CG is swung out 45 degrees from my grip center and I have a good size weight hole 3 3/8" down from my PAP.

The ball motion is strong and smooth down lane. The continuation through the pin deck is outstanding. The ball faces up to the pocket and pin carry is above average. I get my best look from this piece on medium to medium dry conditions. It is an absolute beast on a fresh house pattern. Looks great on the rack too.

If you have avoided Brunswick lately I urge you to give them a look now. I think that you will be very pleased with the new releases.

Intended Purpose:
I wanted a ball that was clean through the heads and could really open up angles on the backend.  I had drilled one of these in the past that fit this description (it was drilled to be more skid-flip and it definitely was) but it was over-under on most conditions.  I love this core, so I wanted to give this ball another chance, so I decided on a drilling that would be a little earlier and tried to take away a little bit on the backend.  I hoped that this drilling would be able counteract the rapid response to friction and how clean the coverstock is.  

Comments:
Carry – The hit of this ball is exceptional.  Once again, this can be expected due to the use of a modified Inferno core.  Due to the higher RG, this core is easy revving and still has all kinds of energy when it enters the pins.  Anyone that has thrown an Inferno in the past can attest to the way that this weightblock can toss pins from side to side very well.  The Python is no exception same great carry with a little more energy.

Likes – This ball can open up angles on the lane extremely well. The cover is very clean and the combination with the core saves a lot of energy to turn the corner on the backend.  With simple hand adjustments, you can get a ball that opens up the lane to a ball that is great for going up the boards.  The ball still rolls heavy enough that it will still carry when you take hand out of the ball.  I think this ball is great for any house pattern.  It gives mistake room above and beyond what the house pattern already gives.  

Dislikes –Due to the fact that this ball can go sideways on the backend, it can be a little addictive (even when it is not the right reaction to use).  The color scheme is great for shelf appeal, but it makes it a little more difficult for me to read the transition of the ball as it progresses down the lane (minor complaint really).  With how clean the coverstock is, the ball can be a little skittish on oil if you are not careful.  This can lead to some over-under in the reaction.  

Overall: A good ball for tournament and league bowlers.  It is useable on many different conditions by almost any style of release.  Carry is above average.  For the price, this ball is unbelievable.  After throwing roughly 30 games, the cover is not showing much ware, and has only been wiped off and cleaned after every set.  This is a good ball for people with an arsenal and for people that only have one ball (due to its versatility).
