The Battle Zone Missile uses a medium sized, medium high RG, high flare core to give more mid lane reaction when the conditions call for an earlier arcing, strong recovering piece of artillery. Both balls pack a new spin on reactive urethane coverstocks and a core design that will roll on your orders. Plus a low price that is right on target to fire.  The specifications are: PowerKoil 17 Reactive Coverstock; Hook Potential: 18.0-10.0 (dull/shiny); Typical Length: 4.5; Typical Backend: 10; RG Diff: 0.046; RG Max: 2.6-9; RG Min: 2.563. Color: Red.

Almost what I was looking for.  I was looking for a ball that went long as the heads went away and could turn hard for later shifts.

I was actually looking for a milder backend impact zone.  The impact zone was my ALMOST a great ball for the last year, just often had too much backend.  This ball had the smooth strong backend move that I was looking for but it did not get down the lane the way I was looking for.  In fact it reminded me of a poor man's command zone

arc.  It had a tendancy that when you drifted slightly with your feet inside and then hit a board inside your mark with the idea it would project wide it would not project it would just stay high.  6 pin!

I'm a lefty.  I've never seen so many 6 pins.

Brunswick in their literature does say that this is midlane ball but they also say that it has a length of 4.5 on their scale this is longer than the impact zone on their scale.  So I drilled it 4 1/2 inch pin to pap and 3 inch CG to pap.  This kicked out cg I thought would get the ball rolling just a little earlier so that it would be the same length as my (supposedly shorter) impact zone.  This also allowed me to place a small weighthole on the pap to get a slightly milder backend than the super strong impact zone.  This approach just made this ball early and smooth and with a pretty strong backend. I already had a ball to fill this early league spot my sledgehammer from hammer.

I think I should have drilled this label for length, or tried the battle zone bullet.  My solution to this slot in my arsenal is my Lightning Flash from Storm.  See posted review.  That ball is incredible for this length with strong backend slot.  This Battle Zone is also a great ball but you must know where it fits in your arsenal.  Will be posted for sale on the auction site.

Pocket percentage baby!

I was looking for a ball for the dry to medium oil conditions on a top hat layout.  Had the ball drilled very mild and to go long. After drilling decided to put a little extra shine to get it through the heads cleaner. What a ball for the above condition!  This ball has a nice continuous arc and good pin action. For a mid priced ball you couldn"t ask for a harder hitting ball.  Keep out of the heavy oil or excessive speed and it will keep you smiling.  Had a 745 + 751 so yes it can score well.  Give one a try, you will like it. Find a good pro-shop that knows your game and understands the equipment as they will know what fits your game.

Another eBay bargain...another review.

Specs:
2.5 oz. TW
1 " pin
Box finish

Humm....Brunswick....PowerKoil17....Rhino Pro core.  I think we've seen this before.  Anyway, I was looking for something to give me a nice even reaction, something as a step up from my Pulse.  Put the pin on the PAP with the CG 1" past the axis on the midline.  Drilled the weight out with a 1" hole 6 3/4" past the center of the grip.

Pretty simple, even reaction.  Very little flare, but a bit more hook than I expected.  I was looking for about 3-5 more boards of hook and I got something along the lines of 6-8.  This ball is very much like an aggressively drilled Pulse.

On a 5-to-5 top hat of 37 feet, I was able to stand 20 and swing the dry without an overreaction.  The only problem I ran into was the ball wanted to hook a bit early (imagine that), but I never ran into any jump-snap looks.

Overall, this ball was pretty much what I expected.  An early mover with an overall smooth look to it.  The Battle Zone Missle is a good all-around ball; strong roll, nice midlane move, and smooth backends.  Wouldn't recommend this when the heads go away, but a great ball for medium conditions.

Picked this bargoon up off ebay for less than 50 bucks including postage. Drilled it up 2.5 by 4 I wanted to emphasis the midlane reaction of the ball. Finally finished it up last night took it out bowled three games had strings of 7 and 11 strikes 700+. This ball does exactly what I expected quick rev in the mid with a bit of a hook stop reaction on the back but not enough stop to leave many tens had 2 in the set. This was a typical house shot not what one would call challenging but all in all I am very pleased with what I have seen so far. I expect this ball to fit between my every day ball and my dry lane ball (nighthawk revenge) I would rate this ball a 8.5 on ability and a 10 on value.
My bowling style is cranker third arrow breakpoint at 7, speed above average depending on oil level.

Yet another Ebay special!  Actually I picked up two of these Missiles about a year ago for around 50 bucks each. (I guess somebody was unloading their surplus) I'm glad I bought a couple.  It is the first ball out of my bag and a real pleasure to use in all conditions.  A very good all around ball in my opinion, especially in dry or medium conditions.  I have it drilled for max hook and it has also required a small balance hole. (Tom Underwood tom@urbowling.com) did the work, and he does do a superb job.

This ball hits hard.  It just "sounds" real good rolling down the lane RUH LUH LUH LUH LUH LUH and it hits with a big THUD! and high pitched combination of THWAK! type of sound... I know, that isn't a real professional review, but sometimes these types of descriptions tell the story better.  I've missed by a mile with this thing and it just wreaks so much havoc that you can't help but strike.

I don't think anyone could go wrong with this ball.  A good choice.  If you see one at a good price, pick it up.  You won't regret it.

i've just had this ball drilled and i had a 650 the first time i used it so i like it, it hits hard and it moves really smoothly, i also have a monster frenzy which use 2 be good, i had a 661 and a 276 with it, an amf angle tour, an ebonite savage.

i recommend a battle zone missile for a person who wants a hooky ball
