Drilled this ball 35x4.75x75 (pin down) as I also drilled a pin up Polaris Hybrid at the same time.  The Quantum Evo Hybrid took me a little while to get used to.  Maybe it was the pin down layout, maybe being a dull hybrid or it could have just been me not using it on the correct patterns, but this ball just seemed super lazy.  This ball definitely starts up a lot sooner than the Polaris Hybrid and rolls more forward at the breakpoint (the strong cover and layout being major factors), but some of my normal tricks just didn't seem to work with this ball.  Squaring up with more speed resulted in the ball rolling too early and I just had some so so reaction on both long and short in my Challenge league.

What really worked for me was getting left and being soft with my speed.  The pin down layout with the strong hybrid cover just consistently found the right way to read off the dry and the strong cover gave me enough traction to still mix the pins when I pulled shots into the oil.  My look in league has been really good (I had 544 after 2 a couple weeks back) and it is interesting to see such a different look on the lanes even though it isn't something that I am necessarily used to.

Compared to other balls in my bag, the Evo Hybrid is earlier than the Polaris Hybrid and similar in length to the Envy Tour and Defender Solid, but later than the Mindset.  It is an interesting ball that fits right in the middle of all my asymmetrics and gives me a read that is very strong in the midlane.

I recommend the Evo Hybrid for bowlers with higher rev rates.  This is a ball that is a bit slower off of the dry boards (especially for a hybrid) and doesn't start up super early.  What sounds like a lazy ball for some means that it is a unique shape that provides control for players who have power.  This hybrid is closer to a solid than a pearl and at least in my hands, likes being dull.  Not a ball that has a defined spot in my bag, but a piece that comes in and out of both my league and tournament bags when I want to skew my bag with an stronger piece.
