The Brunswick Magnitude 035 Pearl bowling ball pairs the Relativity Flip Pearl coverstock with the Magnitude Low Diff symmetrical core to create a ball that retains energy longer and works well on medium to dry lane conditions. This ball is ideal for league or tournament bowlers looking for something that offers power and control by offering control all the way down and a good flip on the backend when up against drier lane conditions. This upper mid performance bowling ball gives length and mid lane control along with great pin carry.

The Magnitude 035 Pearl is the perfect complement to earlier hooking balls in the Brunswick line.  This ball allows me to play straighter than the original Magnitude 035 while getting more backend reaction.  I moved 2 and 1 right of the original while seeing the ball go about 2 feet longer.  The Magnitude 035 Pearl is more forgiving than most balls due to its easy length. On our 41 foot house condition I was able to start right around the track area even with my slower speed.  I continued with the ball throughout the night and did not have to change equipment as I moved left.  The ball continued to make a really defined strong move at the breakpoint.  I never felt like I was losing control despite the strong reaction of the ball.  This ball will be great for shorter patterns or anytime friction is present.  The Magnitude 035 Pearl is an excellent ball for anyone looking for a strong backend motion when you need a little extra length.

COMMENTS
The Magnitude 035 Pearl is a outstanding pearl ball for most short to medium sport shots and house shots.  Its just so cleans through the fronts and smooth downlane motion, you can throw it on burned and broken down patterns and the balls will still finish on the backend.  Laid mine out specifically for broken down sport patterns so I can move back right while everyone moves left and sacrifice carry, I don't lose carry with this ball.  The Magnitude 035 Pearl is a must have.

Been slow to write this review as I just haven't been bowling on dry lanes all that much lately.  Drilled my Mag035 Pearl 45x3.75x40 (leverage) as I like seeing my weaker stuff drilled strong for drier THS.  I made a mistake in drilling my Mag035 solid too weak so that it wanted to release off the friction a little too much so made sure to go with a stronger layout on the pearl.
On the lanes, the Mag035 Pearl gave me exactly what I wanted - ease through the fronts, it held the line through the mids and a predictable motion off of the backend.  Nothing shocking about this ball, just a consistent steady reaction for medium-dry lanes.
As somebody with above average speed/revs, it is frustrating to be at a tournament and see the "fluffers" staying in the track with miss room + carry, while my rev rate forces me too far left to see that same look.  This is where the Mag035 comes into play.  By having a smaller core wrapped in a clean/smooth cover I can bump my feet further right and not be concerned about seeing my ball over react.

Most of my league bowling is in a very slick house where my Conspiracy, Mag055 and Method are my balls of choice.  I have taken out my Mag035 Pearl on a few occasions, but it has rarely been the right ball.  Too much volume forces me so far right that I am starting in the friction and misses in rarely shape until the league session is almost over.
While bowling across town on Lane Shield and an old Phoenix S lane machine, I have had much better success.  I can start around third arrow (which is right for me at this house), not be worried about shots that see the friction early and safely hold the pocket.  As the night wears on I have been able to migrate left with it, but my carry gets iffy past 4 arrow and that is when I need to switch to my Cutting Edge Pearl.

Compared to the other balls in my bag, the Mag035 Pearl is definitely one of the weakest balls in my arsenal.  It fits just under my Cutting Edge Pearl which is a little longer and makes a more dynamic move off of the friction.  These 2 balls make a great 1-2 punch for dry lanes.  The Mag035 Pearl rolls up a bit earlier than my Alley Cat but with a slightly slower move off of the friction.  I have the Mag035 pearl I have it 3-5 weaker than my Mag035 solid (which has been further sanded to 1000) and is too much weaker than the 055 to be making that ball change in competition.

I recommend the Magnitude 035 Pearl for anybody looking for help straightening out their angles on medium to dry lanes.  Speed dominant players will be looking for stronger equipment, but the Magnitude 035 Pearl is a must in the bag for those lacking ball speed.
