Title: Mesmerize
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on August 15, 2024, 09:41:47 AM
The Brunswick Mesmerize high-performance bowling ball was designed to be the biggest hooking yet while still being effective and usable. It features a unique four-color appearance, a sharp two-color logo, and introduces the Tri-Elliptic core with DynamiCore2, and HK22 with Cohesion and Evo Solid additives. The Tri-Elliptic core has a D.O.T. design that anticipates drilling holes for optimal performance, resulting in a medium RG of 2.51, a high Differential of 0.056, and an Intermediate Differential of 0.017. DynamiCore2, previously seen only in the Quantum series, adds hitting power and durability. The Cohesion additive, combined with Evo series additives, creates the HK22C-Evo Solid cover, which is the strongest and can handle any volume of oil.

Likes: This is my new “Big Ball” in the bag. Compared to my Extreme Envy, there is more overall motion and continuation. The combination of Solid HK22 with the cohesion additive, medium RG (2.510) and high Diff let the ball hook oily conditions and still have great motion at the back of the lane. I have used it on several non-house shot patterns, and this ball is the first ball I use on the fresh oil.

Ball: Brunswick Mesmerize
Coverstock: HK22C - EVO Solid
Core: Tri-Elliptic
Factory Finish: 500, 1500 Siaair Micro Pad
Layout: 50 x 5 x 30

The Mesmerize is the new ball at the top of the Brunswick side of my bag. It provides more than enough teeth in the oil with its HK22 with Cohesion cover with the 1500 grit surface. Straight off the press, I used it in a similar manner to how I used the Mindset, as a control piece on a medium-short sport sweeper pattern. I have also used it on longer sport patterns and now as league has began, more typical heavier volume league patterns, and it has proven quite versatile. Anyone looking for a ball for the top end of their bag should consider the Mesmerize.

COMMENTS:

The Mesmerize is quite possibly the strongest ball I have ever thrown.  I have not run into a lane condition where it would not hook.  We also have not found a bowler that throws the ball too fast for it to be useable.  The HK22 cover with cohesion additive seems to get this ball started without it going forward early like other aggressive bowling balls.  As you get further left and the lane transitions, this ball will still strike.  If you're looking for the strongest ball on the market, prepare to be Mesmerized!

When the Mesmerize was announced I thought "great another tournament ball" to replace older releases. Boy, was I wrong!

This ball loves our THS and finishes more continuously through the pin deck than any big ball that I've ever used.

I keep it between 1500-2000 for my best results but I believe it would take surface tweaks very well to match many bowler styles.  This is an absolute "home run" ball from Brunswick.
