If you are looking for the biggest hooking ball in the Brunswick’s line, the Kingpin is your answer.  I drilled mine 70 x 4.5 x 35, this layout puts the pin above the fingers, and giving the ball a little push down the lane.  With its ultra low RG core, it revs up up the core, allowing this ball to recover from all parts of the lane.  The ball allows you to play further in, easily gets through the front part of the lane, has excellent stored energy allowing it to punish the pins with its continuous driving motion through the pin deck.  This ball is absolutely incredible, I would recommend to use on high volume oil patterns.Feel free to contact me by email with any questions; troy_300_1999@yahoo.com.

Drilled my Kingpin 60x5x40 with the goal of having a slightly more angular option to my Pitbull Growl which has become my favorite first ball out of the bag on med/heavy patterns.  I totally underestimated the Kingpin as this ball has my feet 4-5 boards left of where I align with my Growl due to being both a little earlier and surprisingly angular down the lane.  The last time I saw a ball out hook everything else in my bag by this margin would be the original purple/red Nexus P+F.  In terms of overall shape and roll, the Kingpin really does remind me of the Nexus, just stronger to match up to today's lane patterns.

Our local house recently bought a Flex and as a result all of our patterns have been slick - slick to the point that throwing midrange solids pretty much is a guaranteed weak 10.  The Kingpin is still too much ball for me on 44' 26mls.  The only times that I have been able to use it are when I have been crossing with people using greasy equipment to push more oil down the lane.  Realistically, I don't expect to see enough oil to effectively use this ball in anything outside of a long format scratch tournament. 

I recommend the Kingpin to anybody having trouble seeing ball motion on flooded lanes.  It is too much ball for me on everyday league patterns (I much prefer the Pitbull Growl for that), but is a must in my tournament bag when I go to a notoriously slick house.  Bowlers who are speed dominant will love the hook that this ball provides, but to everybody else be aware that this ball needs oil in order to perform to the best of its ability.

The Kingpin is flat out strong period.  This ball is flat out impossible to get past the breakpoint.  On our longer slicker house shot I am able to start at fourth arrow with this ball.  It is very stout and would work great for those players that are speed dominant or have trouble getting the ball to slow down at the breakpoint.  This ball will be the first ball out of the bag on longer higher volume patterns.  If you need a ball that will slow down and make the corner on the slickest conditions, the Kingpin is your ball!

A really aggressive, hard-hitting piece to help your game on moderately heavy to very heavy oil patterns.  This ball is like having studded winter tires on your car.  It loves oil and when it sees it the oil is no match for its traction ability.

Mine is drilled 55 X 5 1/4 X 40 and rolls so true off my hand, I have confidence with it when in the past I might have been cautions when seeing a heavy oil pattern and leaking the ball to the outside boards.

The Kingpin is a must have to any serious bowler's arsenal.  Also takes very nicely to surface adjustments if you find out it is losing energy too soon, or if you have slower ball speed.
