The Brunswick True Motion is another throwback bowling ball. This ball uses the same urethane formula that was used for the Rhino line of bowling balls starting back in 1988. This vintage coverstock is paired with the modern Magnitude 035 Low Diff symmetrical core and features Brunswick's exclusive DynamiCore outer core material. The True Motion was designed to offer the control, consistency, and smoothness that bowlers expect of a urethane bowling ball. The reaction of this ball on dry to oily, short and flat oil patterns is good length with mid-lane and backend traction and awesome pin carry.

Went 50x4x45 on my True Motion (pin over ring finger, giving me 2 1/2" of flare) in hopes of giving me an alternative to my pin down BTU on short patterns.  It has been a while since I have carried urethane in my bag as the Karma Urethane never really hit for me and the Avalanche Urethane was more useful in the track on wet/dry walls than it was for playing outside 5.
My initial reaction to the True Motion was amazement at how quick it picked up - particularly the first 3-4 balls per session until the cover absorbs a little oil.  It hooks enough to allow me to play a baby swing into the track on our THS, yet gives me decent carry until the oil starts to carry down by game 2.  Realistically, this isn't what urethane is designed for, but it was cool to see that it is an option if the backends are squeaky clean.  The true test was in our challenge league on 36'.
Short oil allowed the True Motion to shine.  While the backends were crispy and my reactives were diving off the back end, the True Motion gave me the forgiveness to miss inside on fresh and hold line to the pocket.  Considering how straight I have been playing my angles, the carry has been very impressive.  Without being a high speed player I have sent some big messengers across the deck, yet been able to tickle the 5 into the 7 and dig out 10 pins.
In terms of angles and shape the True Motion provides the best of both worlds over its predecessors.  The True Motion picks up in the same early spot as the Karma Urethane, but rounds the corner better down the lane like the Avalanche Urethane, giving me the option to soften swing the ball a couple boards if I so wish.
Compared to any other ball in the current lineup the True Motion is most similar to the Fanatic BTU (mine is 4" pin down).  On most patterns I can stand in the same spot with both balls, but experience a different shape.  The BTU is a tad longer, more sensitive to oil and stronger off the backend.  The BTU is the better option for playing a dry THS, but the True Motion is superior for keeping my angles straight when attacking the outside on short oil. 
I recommend the True Motion to anybody looking for a urethane bowling ball.  Its Brunswick's first urethane since the Karma 5+ years ago and this ball is a major improvement.  This ball has solved many of my problems with angles on short and is still a viable option for fresh house shots when the backends are strong.

I am a Full Roller with zero tilt, 90 degree axis rotation, low revs ( 150 rpms) and low ball speed (11 mph at the pins).
I wanted a ball I could play from the outside and wouldn't jump left on me.
Enter the True Motion.
Because of my zero tilt, any ball is normally rolling off my hand.
So I drilled my True Motion with pin in Axis.
This was a perfect layout for this ball and it allows me to roll right up 7 and the True Motion will float to the pocket with a heavy sweeping roll.
This allows me to put the ball high flush from the outside and create greater entry angle.
I keep my True Motion at stock 1000 grit and find this is best for most house shots playing up 7 unless they are bone dry, then I just move my target left.
Of course I can also use this True Motion for all spares.
And the True Motion hits amazingly hard, even for a softer bowler like myself.
That DynamiCore really snaps the pins hard.
As you will see in the video below, I had several light hits that just carried.
