- Description: CFT versa-max solid is our newest breakthrough in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT versa-max solid coverstock uses a combination of all the CFT coverstocks to create the ultimate coverstock. By using less mechanical friction to produce hook, the CFT versa-max solid coverstock provides enhanced projection down the lane while saving axis rotation for more energy on the backend and through the pins.
The new Dual Flip I – Block symmetric core incorporates a top and bottom flip block over a centered mass. The centered mass creates stability while the dual flip blocks keep the core revving to the backend all the way through the pins for improved pin action.
With its High Gloss Finish, the C•(System) versa-max skids effortlessly through the front, saving axis rotation for the backend with a strong continuous breakpoint. The C•(System) versa-max is the most versatile ball motion from fresh to extremely broken down lane conditions on light to medium-oily lane patterns.
At Brunswick, the unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.

great ball for longer house shots and on wood lanes reads awesome carry went up alot as soon as i switched to this ball thanks Brunswick!

Comments:
By far this ball is one of my favorites of all time. When Brunswick named this ball they got it dead on, VERSATITLITY does not even begin to describe this ball. I bowl league in an old wood house,on tournaments with pro-anvil synthetic and last year at nationals in Baton Rouge. This ball worked everywhere I went. The box finish is polished and I found it to be to over under of a reaction and used a 2000 then 4000 abralon pad and it got rid of the over under. This was also the first c-system ball that had the new symmetrical core in it which also increases the versatility of this ball as well as the ability to allow a bowler to use multiple drilling patterns on it. When going anywhere this is the first ball in the bag and when we start it, it is the benchmark ball to start with, and use a majority of the day.

COMMENTS

Likes: Classic Brunswick reaction, smooth and predictable. A great medium THS piece.

Dislikes: Does show a little over under at times later in blocks when the heads start to go or with a little carry down. I prefer this ball on fresh medium THS where I need control and something the blend out the cliff.

Drilled 55x5x30 no hole. I LOVE this ball!!! This is the classic brunswick reaction I fell in love with in the Pro Zone series, only BETTER

This ball is clean through the heads, reads the mids and begins its smooth increasing arc as it reads friction. A wonderful piece by brunswick. This is my benchmark for medium length and volume THS, complimented by my Pink/Purple Karma (same drilling, OOB).

I just bought this ball today because i was unhappy with my Hammer Taboo. At first it wasn't really reacting the way I expected it to so I did a bit of research and found out that it isn't a really high hooking ball. Once I found that out, I began to bowl at my house, which is usually heavy oil conditions, but they had broken down after a 5-man league. I was immediately happy with the results. As the reviews said, it isn't a really high hooking ball, but it is a very easily controlled ball and it hits hard. I had a lot of very bad shot, but still generated a lot of pin action and strikes. I was also able to pick up more of my spares, two of which were difficult (4-7-9 and 5-7 splits). My Taboo was very difficult to handle and strike with. If is hit the pocket, it hit hard. If not, it was weak. I am very happy with how hard this ball hits, no matter where it hits. If you want a ball that is going to run from one side of the lane to the other and back, this is not the ball for you. But if you are looking for more control, this ball if perfect for you.

Me: Stroker, low revs, play up th 10 board. I like a consistant ball that can get through the oil and then turn towards the 1-3

COMMENTS

Likes: Consistent, pretty arc to the pocket. Gets through the oil like a champ and then moves....not too strong, but a nice controllable move. One of the best bowling balls I've ever thrown. And a beautiful black ball with none of the too popular multicolored surfaces we see today.

Dislikes: Needs oil. Dry lanes causes it to really hook and hit softer. I give it a 9+.
