Title: Rhino Pro Teal
Post by: Sixth on April 20, 2008, 04:43:32 AM
I'm trying to track down a #15 pound Teal Rhino, undrilled. I know they re-issued the ball, but I can't find one anywhere, and it's getting ridiculous. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

See, that's the thing; they're not all over ebay. I do quite a bit of business on ebay and I'm checking for them often, but all I ever see are plugged seconds that probably lost their reaction circa 1995. I just can't seem to find a reproduction anywhere. I really can't see how their are so may purples and overseas variations but I'm still hard pressed to find even one of the most successful Rhino ever made, which was just re-released only a matter of a few years ago. It's nuts.
I did try to purchase one from an online shop about a year ago, and I was told after the purchase that the ball was actually mis-listed, and they were, in fact selling the purple. I had to get a refund, and then take my largely unsuccessful search elsewhere.

Send BR member ChrisPage a note. He has a couple of original NIBs that he is thinking about selling.

Sent him a message. The heads up is much appreciated.
I just hope the price isn't out of reach.

Dude, I can only imagine what you're wanting for an original. I mean, I would be happy with a reproduction, but I'm willing to bet your price is too rich for my taste. If not, however, I'd love to hear the specs on the ball (pin length, top weight, etc).
I've seen one #14 NIB, original Teal on ebay. Even if I could properly control a fourteen pound ball, my self respect wouldn't let me pay the $200+ that it ended up going for.
