Wow a left-hander that can actually hook a ball. I'm amazed!
-
craz, you have a very nice style. The only thing I can see wrong with it, is that you lose your balance at the line and fall off your shot. Work on sliding a little more so that it is easier to stay balanced on your slide foot.

If you have trouble sliding, theres a few things you can do. One is to use EZ slide, or something of that sort, but that tends to make other people mad because it makes the approaches really slippery, the other is to get a slide sock, or make one. A cheap alternative to buying one is simply getting an old sock, and cutting it to length so it slips over the end of your slide foot, and goes about half way on to it. Be careful though, if your not used to sliding, you will slide ALOT with a sock on.

always wondered y singapore bowlers r not that great as the PBA bowlers.. but they r often shown in espn for the asia tour.. haahaa..
i would much prefer to watch chris barnes, pB3, pete weber.. etc.. in action..
but never had a chance to see their matches...
BK25, thanks a lot for ur suggestions.. i would try that slide on (self DIY) heehee

It's a bit hard to tell about your stylisitc stuff from that close-up angle.
From what I can see, your release looks a bit slow.
Your swing goes down fast, then you muscle it to slow down, then you break your wrist slightly to get the thumb out, and then cup quickly through with your arm and wrist to get the revs. It seems like your thumb is a bit slow to exit, causing this. Because of the thumb not flying out fast enough, you are forced to slow down everything at the line.
That's what I see, but there could be something else that I'm missing due to the angle.

FES-As a man who respects himself, I have to break up with you, and there is nothing you can say to change that
Nina-My parents are jerks and I want to get back at them by doing it with you on their bed.
FES (extremely quickly)-Except that.
wwooooahh`!!!
u all here r pros or wat???
very accurate leh...
my thumb release is always a bit slow..
that's y i have to slow down to push it out b4 ending the release ...
is there any help???

Look at that right arm, its no wonder you fall off balance. Looks like it hurts to swing your arm all the way behind your back!!!

I bowl at that centre too.
Well, that centre doesn't have much oil actually.

I've been out in Asia (Singapore and Philippines) to visit a lot of bowling centers. There are some centers, usually in smaller towns, that have older lane machines and do, in fact, put out literally what Americans call it - "no oil". In reality, there is oil, but not a lot. The customer base of that particular bowling center doesn't really need that much oil - The bowling balls used, etc. However, in the newer centers, there is a trend of them using more advanced and lane conditioning equipment and oils. The difference between lane playing/conditioning between Asia and the Americas are pretty much coming to a close these days- thanks to technology.

i m back again
heehee
in camp for the past few days for my P226 pistol range
=/

anyway
Yup... chevrons doesnt have much oiling over there compared to standard centres like kimseng bowl or wateva .. hahaa
n btw.. anyone can tell me wat coming across my body is???
i know of the shoulder drop but i dun understand the words used...
sorry and wat's a less forward pitch?
does it mean the finger pitching??
=)
-
I think coming across the body means that your bowling arm crosses your body instead of being straight up or slightly out.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
