I've returned to bowling after 6 years away; I'd like a recommendation on a pearl ball.

Typical league conditions for me: 10-10 walled - heavy oil between 10-10 for 40ft.

My present equipment: Big Bully, Columbia Aftershock - drilled for back end, Hammer 3D Superhook - label drilled; and a spare ball U2 Pearl Urethane.

I need a pearl ball - all my other equipment are solids.  I'm thinking that the Intense Inferno might be a good match from what BTM says.

I'm a stroker but can swing it if I'm confident it'll come back; about 15.5 to 16.0 mph.  "A" game is outside the 2nd arrow with a little swing; have shot 800 playing straight up 5 (many moons ago!)(with a White Dot).

I have read your posts at the bowlingfans forums.(as a lurker) Are you new here? If so Welcome!!!! Anyway... If you want a pearl ball from what I have read as far as Brunswick goes I'd suggest an Original Inferno(great benchmark ball), Intense Inferno(longer and stronger than the O.I.), BVP Punisher(longer,stronger and cheaper than the O.I.),or if you can find one a Monster Frenzy.(Discontinued.Long and strong.) These balls all have a high gloss finish. My other suggestion would be the Absolute Inferno. This ball has a different finish. It is not high gloss, but what Brunswick calls 'Rough Buff'.
About 800 grit polish, I think? (Please correct if wrong!)

Please take my recommendations for what they're worth.
I am young and fairly new to the sport, so I may not be the best source of info for you.
Also note that the above descriptins of what the balls do are subjective. I have only thrown the Absolute and the Frenzy (Both predictable, and hard hitting with a strong arc- not a skid snap type of thing). But have seen all the others in action. These descriptions are all greatly affected by drillings, conditions, and styles(I think your style is similar to mine however, as I like to run it up 2nd arrow whenever I can).

I'm looking for more backend - later reaction.

I'm happy with my Aftershock and Big Bully, but I need to expand my arsenal.  Their both heavy oil balls; the Aftershock finishes harder than the BB.

I need/want a ball for more medium conditions and perhaps one that is also useful on Sport conditions; so I want one that has a bigger backend but is also somewhat versatile.

I talked to Ron Williams last night; he has seen me bowl.  He suggested the Punisher amongst others; he said the II would work, but thought I could go cheaper with the Punisher.  He also said the Ebonite Big Time could work, but I want to stay away from Particle balls.

BrunsSki,  II or Punisher.  Which of these two would be the more versatile?

Try a backyard bully if u like the bully line and if u want something that goes longer then drill a drive up.

I read a lot of the discussion of how a ball should be drilled in the "Absolute Inferno" thread and now I'm concerned about how I should have this Intense Inferno drilled to get the max out of this ball.

I have two heavy oil balls, one, the Big Bully, doesn't go long (it Arcs), the other, Aftershock, is drilled to finish.  I'm wanting the Intense Inferno for medium to oily conditions, I want it to finish!  I'm also hoping it'll be useful on some sport conditions.

I'm mostly a stroker but can swing it when the conditions dry out; where I bowl though, I see a lot of heavy oil.  Ball speed: 15.5 to 16.5.  I'm working on strengthening my release (leverage) position.
