Most smooth rolling/predictable ball
« on: November 30, 2007, 02:44:15 AM »
Hello...Subject says it all.  What do you guys thinks are some of the better balls for a stoker type player looking for something with a very smooth type arc reaction shape that is predictable and consistent? I do not like balls that skid and flip or are very angular.  Thanks.

mammoth?  Providing you have enough head oil, I don't think they come any smoother reacting...

I get tired of seeing these questions over and over and over... All bowling balls are great no matter what company its made by. The proshop are the main reason for creating the shape of a reaction not the ball producer!!! Sure some balls may roll more heavy than others(Mo Rich) and some may skid snap more than others(Storm), but all in all any ball from any company will roll a certain way depending on layouts. Just pick a ball and put confidence in it, and it will show!

Smoothest for me....the Columbia Icon.  In Pearl...Columbia Panic.

Other smooth balls are any smooth core ball with the cg kicked out to about a 45 degree angle to the pin and a deep weighthole on the pap.

Other smooth balls are any smooth core ball drilled 2 X 5.

Sidewinder. Why concern yourself so much with "dumbing" a ball down with an exotic layout when you can choose the right ball to begin with.

That's always been my theory.
