Fury/surface adjustment
« on: March 21, 2008, 08:12:22 AM »

Drilled up a new Fury solid for the wife last night and she threw it in practice.
I looked at the surface and it did not look like 800 grit to me. I suggested to go ahead and roll it to see what we get with the ball. What the Fury did was hook at her feet and roll out big time. Pro shop closed early so we put the ball up for another day. The ball was drilled with the 2L with the pin above ring finger and with her slower ball speed I am thinking about starting out with 2000 grit Abralon and go from there. The factory grit is way too strong, what ever it really is. I read the Fury reviews on this site and it seems like some go with 1000 to 2000 grit Abralon or some like the polish route. Tonight I am going to put the Fury on the spinner and start with 2000 Abralon and see what happens before going any type of polish. Any ideas from your experince with the Fury surfaces would be appreciated.

Try 2000 abralon first, then if neeeded try 4000 abralon. If you still need the ball to go longer, take it down to about 1000 then add rough buff. Good luck.
