3.5 or energy

what i was told to do with it by a storm employee is drill it 4-4.5 from pap and sand it to 1000 cause the pearl will help it store energy still. since havin so much hand a sanded ball burns up on me on any oil. i want a ball for longer sport shots due to the fact i plan only on bowling sport shots from now on or aleast a mojority of the time. so my question is how do the 3.5 adn virtual energy compare with this idea in mind. the staffer told me to do it on an energy but since im gonna be attending lindenwood university i have to use brunswick so id rather stick with them. and i have a 3.5 waiting to get drilled anyway.

The Energy is cleaner or less overall reaction than a 2.5....so if you are looking for something for longer patterns, especially higher volumes or lower friction lane surface...I would recommend the 3.5 possibly with the surface knocked down.

That would be my observation, too. The VE is a very good ball, but not as strong as the 3.5 in terms of handling oil.

The 3.5 cover is much stronger than the VE. Drill the 3.5 35* x 4 1/4 x 30*. Add balance hole on the gradient line as needed to increase/decrease hook. Leave out of box first and try. If you need even more hook, adjust the cover stock roughness. 500, 1000, 2000 etc.....
