Drilling a 3.5
« on: March 02, 2010, 06:51:54 AM »
How does someone determine how to drill a new ball?  This is my second ball and the local Pro Shop basically used a "standard" layout with my first ball.  I've been throwing a straight ball and will be changing to a hook so there is no PAP to go by.  Brunswick does have a number of suggested patterns and I suppose one could just follow their advice.  Any suggestions?

I would start by trying to throw a hook with your current ball. You can still find your PAP from this ball. Then have your driller watch you throw the ball and he can help determine the layout.

Until you develop the rotation in your release to throw a curve, drilling is irrelevant.
