Brunswick Wicked Siege video fun

Just got mine in Wednesday and decided to drill it up and try it out Thursday morning.



 Got three games in on a leftover house shot that wasn't too bad. Was hoping to show a few different lines, but if you put the ball down from 15 to the gutter it started hooking off your hand. So everything is played across the middle. Still had fun and can't wait to use it next week.

Looks like you gave yourself another similar look to the other pills.  Putting a drilling like that with a cover as strong as that made it look like a strong urethane ball.  IMHO, look outside the box(50x3.50x40-ish) next time you're punching a ball out that is this strong.  Don't take this the wrong way.  A drilling like that will you less like a junior league bowler-ball reaction wise.   I'm merely trying to get you to kick out a LOT more of those soft corner pins.  A drilling like that would be OK if you were considering a pill for extreme wet-dry patterns.

Not sure about urethane but will take your word. Not much in options for the shot that was out there. Stand left and hit some dry. Stand right and it hooks out of your hand. Little bit of carry down on the backs so if you didn't hit the dry you wouldn't have much in back ends to kick corners. The Defender is drilled very similar to the layout you suggested. (55x4x50) It rolls great on fresher conditions and becomes a bit too early on drier conditions.

 

 With the Wicked having a higher RG I wanted to drill it for added length and hook on the back end. Not a pattern I use often, but have found it to be very versatile on many oil conditions when used on more aggressive bowling balls. Easy to play up the boards, or across several when the shot breaks down. On a fresher condition the Defender tends to roll sooner with a continuous back end. Corner pins aren't a big concern for either. The Defender left its fair share if you left the ball in the oil too much. Did notice a decent amount of scouts miss the ten though. Must say I'm impressed thus far with the Wicked and am very happy with the results.

My Bounty, with a rolly, early hooking-mild arc looks like a strong urethane pill, too.  However, the name of the game with that pill for me while I wait for a little transition to appear is carry.  It allows for great continuation on longer, heavier, and flatter patterns without a loss in it's ability to kick out corners. I'm anxious to see how the Wicked I'm about to punch out reacts.  I haven't seen too many Big B pieces over the past few years other than the 2.5 that I've wanted to go out and try until I was coaxed into purchasing one with the $50 rebate offer.  It's terrible when a ball whore meets up with a rebate form....ugh...

Thats the reason I went ahead and ordered mine.  $59 shipped after rebate. Otherwise I would have waited on the Alpha Max.
