Why Lock a Topic?
« on: March 18, 2008, 03:00:27 PM »
Inquiring minds wanna know...why lock a topic JaPeters?  You asked a question of BrunsNick...but why lock it?  I's a net forum for all to infuse info.  Correct?  Not that I had anything to say BUT just PM or e-mail Nick if you want just info. from Nick.  Otherwise I'd say it's kinda lame.  Net forums are here for the masses and EVERYBODY learns and it's why you and I post so EVERYBODY can learn.  Right or wrong JMO.

He got an answer from Nick and then locked it. My thoughts would be that he did not want it to get out of control like a lot of topics do around here lately.

Kyle is 100% correct.  If have been on these forums for along time now.  I have seen how topics get hijacked and just get ugly, I asked him a question, got a response, end of topic.  I have seen so many topics lately turn into who is better, etc lately.  I hate seeing it and reading it.  Kudos to Kyle for saying what he did.

I can understand your point of view Japeters.  It's too bad that folks need to feel that way or a net forum with it's bashing has come to this.

Maybe I better lock this topic.
