A great equipment idea!! Greg Hoppe.
« on: June 29, 2003, 05:24:11 PM »
Well now I see they've come out with the Time Zone a near copy of the great
Revolution Rebel Ecx but with Powerkoil 18 instead of solid Ncontrol powerstock.

Maybe a great idea!

I have loved the elusive and sexy look of the monster scream/r but could not really get it to work around my area.  It was either too long on oil or too early on dry.  After lots of coverstock adjustments I dropped it like a sexy girlfriend who made ya crazy!

I got thinking what if they made this sexy core in solid(I think they did once and called it a Teal Rhino).  Yeah but what about solid Ncontrol powerstock, on top of this sexy core.  (Well Blasphemy I saw a core like it and went and bought the Wicked BRT from Columbia in the mean time!!)  Similar core shape and specs in my opinion.

Gregg,

FOr some reason I can't get to Brunswick site?  To find email addresses, maybe you could forward this link!

Lucky, it seems you now have to go to http://www.brunswick.com/ and click Bowling, then the brunswickbowling.com link.  It looks like the regular brunswick link, but it will only say Brunswick.com.  Strange.

I've been using http://www.brunbowl.com to get to Brunswick Bowling.  Never had a problem with it, and it's easier to type.

Emailed Tom Tomaras of Brunswick and he did not see a Scream/r Solid coming out.

I described my love hate with the Scream/r too long on oil too short on Dry and he sent me material on the Frenzy.

Fortunately I have one showing up.  Maybe today!!!!

Coupled with my Smash/r I'm Excited!

I drilled 3 Scream/R's. I couldnt get the reaction I wanted out of any of them. I believe it was more of a Sport shot ball, it just seemed to over under too much on house patterns. When I did get it on a shot that i could throw it, it hit like a truck...so......Greg Scallan

The Scream/R was a Rhino T2 with a pearlized shell.

luckylefty, i had a monster screamR and i thought it was a great ball. then i replaced it with a monster frenzy and this ball hooks a LOT more. both of these balls were underestimated but the frenzy was REALLY overlooked.

Gregg,

I agree with you, if we had more 35 foot conditions around here or dryer I think the sexy Scream/r would have been an incredible favorite of mine!

However over the past year the shot has lengthened around here and stays that way or wetter for us lefties.

The Smash/r is great along with some of my particles.

I'm getting the Frenzy for that rare 35 foot league or my practice pot games where I need a slightly longer version of the Smash/r.  But a similar shape.

Thanks,

Hey G Hoppe, I agree with you totally, the Frenzy is the most underrated ball in my bag. I pull it out when nothing else works, it hits hard, and carries off hits very well. I have 2 of them, one with the pin above my middle finger, cg out, 3/4 side, and one stacked with hole. Not a ball I pull out on fresher sport shot conditions, but it always comes out when they break down or a fresh house shot. Recently, I had a fellow Brunswick staffer tell me, after looking in my bag, and I quote, "Your the only person I know who throws Frenzy's." LOL I think for the price, its a great ball for someone whos looking for stored energy and hit. Thats why im so excited to get my 2 Bruisers, it is supposed to be the most backend in the Monster line, it may be the first mid range pearl in my bag I can use on a fresher sport pattern.
Lefty, is that Swank? I thought you only used Ebonite equipment....or after our pot game did you decide to switch? lol  Greg Scallan

Track Threat, Thrash, Freak out, EZ Money and Mutant are tearing them up around here,
Also the Smash/r Eliminator, I've seen the Frenzy but I'll tear it up with it.

Just received my Frenzy from Lane21, fast cheap, perfect and really the most beautiful ball I've ever seen!

A unique mixtrueo of red and Purple that I have not seen on other Frenzy's.

Can't wait to see my new longer Smash/r on light!!!!
