A new Magnitude series piece on the horizon?
« on: October 05, 2017, 02:39:51 PM »
Just out of curiosity, I perused the USBC's approved ball list site. It noted Brunswick had two pieces approved on 10.3.2017 -- Kingpin and Magnitude 055.

Do any of you suspect Kingpin might be a successor to the Ringer series? Magnitude 055 kind of speaks for itself.

Kingpin will be their big hooking ball! They also have a new urethane ball and all three will feature their new core technology! The Magnitude will be stronger than the first one with a high rg core.

A new urethane ball -- hopefully a true urethane ball -- will be most welcomed. I'm not sure if I'm willing to plunk out $129, $139, or whatever the price will be for one. I have a Faball Hammer arsenal -- blue, burgundy, and the original black -- that's still functional.

I was told that Tom Smallwood was given the new urethane to try/review for Brunswick last month. His proshop mgr. said there was no name @ the time but it was really a true urethane reaction as opposed to the original BTU.
I guess they finally came up w/ a name & release date.

Yeah, read that. BUT there were NO Rhinos released in 88. The powder blue was an Oct 87 and the next Rhino was Cobalt in Mar 89. a month later the Black Pearl and finally Red in Oct 90. So which is it? Those balls were different 4 sure?????
