I made at least 80% of all the money I ever made bowling using Brunswick equipment in the late 90's. Danger Zone, Impact Zone, Deep Violet, all made me thousands of dollars. Since the Vapor Zone I have only had a couple of B balls that were really very good, and one was the Anaconda, a remake of the Abolute Inferno. However I recently drilled the Versa Max and P+R . Very impressed with both of them. On the other side of the scale, top end Storm equipment ( Invasion, Virtual Energy, Anarchy, Nano, and Nano Pearl ) have not matched up well for me in the last couple of years. Only the mid priced symetrical Frantic has been good for me.
I find it interesting that two of the best balls right now from both Brunswick and Storm are mid priced symetricals with tamer shells. Could it be that shells have gotten so strong that they don't match up well with the low rg, highly asymetrical cores they are typical of high end equipment.
