Absolute (Scrap the rest?)
« on: March 11, 2005, 12:23:03 PM »
OK ...... the Absolute Inferno is all the rave right now.
Should I just scrap my original Inferno and Intense
Inferno and punch out two Absolutes with different
drillings/surfaces?
I'm not so convinced after an 824 series the other
night with my original Inferno on a pair where the
next highest series was in the high 600's.
Curious .................. thoughts?

Keep what works.  Never buy a ball if you don't need it, or your other stuff is working great.  Like you, I was considering dropping stuff to get an absolute, but I realized that it just seemed silly.

Yea, scrap those suckers!!!!  Just send them to me and I PROMISE to take care of it for you!*wink wink*

In reality, I don't think I will ever part with my original inferno. I would suggest the same for you.

As for the intense, that one can be a bit "iffy" at times, but great when you happen to hit just the right condition for it.

I think what I would do if I were you ( and in this case I AM in your shoes, I have an O.I. that I love), I would just get one absolute and drill it up first as a stronger compliment to the original before I threw caution to the wind.  Too many times I have jumped too quickly and regretted it later.

Just out of curiosity, why does one need to "scrap" a ball in order to get another. Is is a matter of selling the others to pay for new ones, or is it to make room in the bag. I guess I'm more of one to just add to my arsenal and keep all the good ones.

BrunsBob ....... I was kidding about scrapping!
I was trying to see if the Absolute is so good, the
rest is obsolete!

i would never scrap a ball just because something newer came out. however, rick benoit did mention that if he had to have just one inferno it would be the absolute.
