PLEASE HELP OH MIGHTY NATION.....
« on: March 26, 2005, 09:31:48 AM »
I wil be going to JOG in Indy in July, and they are known to put out alot of oil, and sometimes, really short oil. I feel I have a ball for the long oil, but not for the short oil. I am dedicated to brunswick and I am looking for something to be very CONTROLLABLE and great for really SHORT patterns. I wasnt thinking about a current ball in the brunswick lineup, but an older ball. What ball should I get - a danger zone? saphire zone? what kind of zone? rhino? Im not sure. I just want something for the brutal short sport oil at Junior Olympic Gold. Thanks.

PS. Any suggestions welcome. If you have any questions let me know. I am lefty, with medium revs, medium speed. I have a high track.

Danger Zone would be great in my opinion. Its an all around good ball.

Make that three votes for the SlayR.

One more thing - would it be better to go with a more "technologically obsolete" core than to go with the current line-up (danger zone, rhino, etc)? I'm not sure, but isn't an older ball better for really tough patterns or short patterns? If I am wrong, please explain.

the reason y they r better is bcuz they dont hook off the lane i have a Danger Zone and i love it for fresh oil bcuz it is very smooth but its not good for long oil short oil yes but not long stuff

OK, I have a danger zone on the way (what luck, huh?). How should I drill it?
I am a lefty that throws medium speed/revs. I have a high track. I tend to always throw pin over fingers because anything lower than that I get an over/under reaction. Since control is key on JOG, what should I do? I was thinking about putting the pin on the PAP, with a balance hole to cut flare. Is this a good idea? Any suggestions welcome.
