Absolute Inferno - Truly the best.
« on: November 18, 2005, 01:43:01 AM »
So i drilled up a 14lb absolute inferno using the leverage drilling. And boy did it impress me so!

Simply amazing colours on the ball, i love it when the colours mix as the ball goes down the lane. I stand at about 17 and shoot the ball at the 2nd arrow out to about 3 and into the pocket.

The AI carries extremely well and i was totally impressed. High or light in the pocket, it always found a way to strike. Messengers took out 10 pins, 7 pins, 8 pins.. everything! The people bowling at the lanes next door just stared in awe as the ball carried strike after strike after strike.

However i must say the coverstock is a little on the soft side.. well i dont really know what happened to me, but the ball hit my ankle and bounced into the gutter. When it came back.. ahh.. a chip. My SECOND throw with this ball resulted in a chip! nooooooooooo....

Anyway, i think i am totally in love with this ball. threw 176 220 196 out the box.. quite an achievement in my opinion.. for someone who usually carries a 180+ average. All in all, i am very very happy with the ball, and if i were to rate it, i'd definitely give it a 10/10. Truly amazing ball. everyone should get this ball in my opinion.

Thanks a lot Brunswick!!

yes a great ball, so i've heard...
i have one, it was polished when i got it, and it hit pretty flat, flipped too late.

so i took off the polish and sanded it to 600 grit, turned really early, and very smooth off the break, killed the pocket.

but the surface was very condition specific (heavy oil), as i was unable to use it for more than 15 frames.

i put on 3M Rubbing Compound and buffed it up, we'll see how it does when i resume bowling soon at a different house.

anybody else use 3M Rubbing Compound on their absolute?

I made a post like this a while back, and I'm completely impressed with my Absolute too. Carries very well. I love the strong continuous arc I get from which translates to extremely well light hit swishes. Not as forgivable going high though. I had a 279 first game OOB and one 700 to this date with this ball.
