I drilled a Red/Teal a few months ago.  I was hoping this ball would be my lighter side of mediums ball.  As it turned out something was wrong with it and BrunsRicH took care of it for me.  

However, the new Red/Teal hooks considerable more, b/c it isn't flaring over the thumb hole.  Anyway, the ball appears to be clunking down the lane.  If I move inside, it won't recover and too strong outside.  

Drill pattern is 5.5 p2p, pin above bridge, cg kicked around an 1" from the center of grip.  Originally it didn't have a weight hole, but after 10 games I put one on the pap.  I killed any side weight and the ball reacts better at the breakpoint.  But.....I still don't like the roll I am getting.  

I am thinking about a redrill, more hook-set.  What do you guys think?

Well coming from Brunswick's "Testing", moving the C.G. with a plug and redrill should have no effect on the reaction.  So my suggestions based on what they're telling us in the Drilling & Layouts section is to just increase the size and depth of the weighthole to take out more mass from the core to get it into balance quicker, thus promoting more "Hook-Set".  I just tried this on a Track Champ and it seemed to work.  All carry went out the back window though.

I'm gonna be happy as a Clam when my Warp and P.Groove #2 get here.

Andrew,

   What kind of lane condition are you trying to throw this on. This ball, for most, can really exagerate a wet/dry look. It tends to lift up on oil, but because it retains so much energy, it tends to jump of the dry area. If this is the case, first off, it's the wrong ball for the condition. Secondly, if you want to throw this ball on that, buff the surface lightly to knock the gloss off. Try different levels of scotch brite until you find the right match up. And yes, DP3's suggestion might help also.

Its your typical wall but lighter oil and 34 to 35 ft in length on AMF synthetics.  To compare, my OI, II, and AI will check up very early unless I am completely fluffing it.  The shot isn't really wet/dry, just dry mostly.

I used it tonight for the majority of the night.  I could use my Crimson Ex, but I had to cross 21-22 at the arrows to about the 7 board, leaving tons of ringing tens.  Anyway, the PG was playable with a suitcase release up the 9-10 board.  It is the first time I've used in for an entire set.  I shouldn't complain, I shot 628 but the ball just seems hit or miss for me.
