Adjusting the surface on 3.5
« on: February 24, 2010, 08:42:27 AM »
I was struggling withthe 3.5.  It was too skid flippy and didn't really read the break point well.  So I took the surface down to 2000 Ablaron by hand.  It made a big difference, but read the lanes a little too early.  Then I took the surface with a new 4000 Ablaron pad by hand and the ball just woke up.  Got through the heads fine and made a strong move to the pocket and the carry was tremendous.

Barry,

Don't be afraid to try P3000 grit. It's barely a small diff between p2000 and P4000 but could be just the right surface for you and that drilling.

(Both Abralon and SiaAir Velvet have a P3000 grit pad.)

Thanks.
