Title: AI surface question

Hey what's up, got a question about the AI

Right now I have the Absolute drilled 4 inches from my PAP and CG directly under and the surface is like out of the box, on medium conditions its awesome, but on oil it kind of skids through the break point, I gotta moderate my speed so it can make it to the pocket.

Here's the question, would wet-sanding to a say 1000-1200 grit make it get into a earlier roll?

AND NOT THAT IT DOES NOT REACT, IT JUST GOES A BIT LONGER THAN DESIRED.

With the Rough Buff finish thze AI is a nice go-between for medium conditions. As you proposed, (wet) sanding it to 1.000 grit (e. g. with a 3M white pad) should open up the surface a bit more and take the glaze off of the ball, for more overall trcation and a smoother reaction. If this does not work, try coarser grits.
I experimented myself with a TPC Player and found that sanded pearl reactives can be a very good choice for longer oil, but you really need to experiment with the surface. With 1.000 grit, my Player went still very long, but lacked traction. With 800 grit (grey pad) the ball started to move much earlier.

thanks for you help, I was thinking of doing this due to the ball going somewhat far down the lane, and also because when I had the Triple X Factor whih comes highly polish out of the box y took it down  to a 1000 grit and worked out pretty good. AND NOT THAT IT DOES NOT REACT, IT JUST GOES A BIT LONGER THAN DESIRED.

your experimenting with various grits of sandpaper and/or scotch-brite pads will be woth it in the long run. you'll find the right combination.
