Ambitious Zone Information Sheet?
« on: July 25, 2007, 11:06:33 AM »
I just won one on eBay, I'm looking for the drill/information sheet.
Anyone have a link?
Thanks!

No sheet, but it should give you some info.

Brunswick Ambitious - RG - 2.601
Brunswick Red Alert Plus - RG - 2.601

Brunswick Ambitious - Perfect Scale - 189.8
Brunswick Red Alert Plus - Perfect Scale - 143.4

One more reason not to trust BowlingBall.com's perfect scale.
Same ball, same core, same PowerKoil 18 cover.
I swear Keith Spear fires a dart blindfolded to get the numbers.

According to the website Joe provided, that zone you bought has PowerKoil Response coverstock.  Do you know that the Response cover is indeed PK18?

I think it is a re-do of an international Red Alert ball from 2002 or so. I do not remember the name, was the one before the solid black/blue PK18 "RA Limited", http://www.brunswickbowling.com/uploads/Wi/31/Wi318zlE5b9rw4xV6Zg3_w/Brunswick-JPG1.jpg. (Same core, BTW).

Same PK18 pearl cover, same Control Zone core and even the same colors (black/red). Just use the normal symmetric core drilling sheets on this one, e. g. from a current Rampage.

I had that ball, and sold it before I had a chance to drill it.
I regret selling it, and glad im able to replace it for so cheap.
The red alert plus was a pretty unique piece, im happy its back again.
Even if the name is the only difference.

Thanks Diz

I have one.  drilled 4x4 pin up and she is long with strong backend, almost too skid/flippy.  not a bad ball for the price.  in my scratch league, i shot 885-279, 198, 205, 203...damn 9 pin on the 279(3rd 279 this summer left a 4, a 9, a 7, doh!)...than shot 868 with it the next week, 212, 224, 242, 190.  have another one on the way.  paid 35 bucks shipped for the second one!

a few went for that price, i happend to be one of them.  that chat thing is cool.  never done that before.  but for everyone else it was used on a fresh house shot with flyin backends.  synthetic heads than wood.  the line was 17 at the arrows and about 8 at the breakpoint.  strong move on the backend.  as a comparison my red zone drilled 4 1/2" ptp, psa 65 degrees, gets almost same length, but not as strong on the back, would have to move right with this ball on same shot
