Miracle Coverstock that is the Activator Advance
« on: March 18, 2006, 07:20:16 AM »
When ever I throw my Smokin' Inferno, I NEVER see any oil rings on it. I went all three games of leage today and not one trace of oil, throw Intense, Blazing, and even Plastic and they all show oil rings. Doesn't matter the volume of oil or type of lane conditions or surface, I never see oil picked up by this ball. Maybe this is why it lasts so long. I am very impressed by it and I have put atleast 85+ games on it and it seems to not have lost an ounce of hook. Still hits the pocket and seems to lift the pins into the air.
I would really like to see the Activator Advance trickle down into the Zone or BVP line and see what becomes of it. It seems to be its own little miracle in the bowling world. I hope the Activator Max can live of to its predessesor because I know that the Original Activator and the Activator+ are both amazing and hold up like a dream.
Way to go Brunswick!

Kind of interesting that you've fallen in love with the three infernos that have seemingly gone by the wayside, the smokin, intense and blazing.  Most people were "eh" about them, but you've been having parades.  I guess all you need to do is wait for the next ball that doesn't create waves of popularity and get it.

How would my Inverted Track have something to do with it? Does this benefit me other than other people with a normal track?

with an inverted track, your PAP is located much lower than a normal track.

much more like a spinner.

so these Smokin/Blazing/Intense High RG Infernos are in some way inducing a much more favorable delayed reaction than the ultra low RG inferno cores, ever thought about switching to even higher RG balls?

i know the helicopter bowlers in asia prefer them.

I'm far from spinner, my PAP is about 5 1/2" over and 1" up. My coach tells me I use the whole surface of the ball and use the ball to its full potential.

i would suggest taking the "inverted" track out of your profile if your PAP is above your midline.

here is a diagram.

My track goes like that though.
It is very close to my middle finger and at the very least 3/4" away from my thumb sometimes evem more depending on how much the ball is flaring.

your PAP is not above your midline then.

its impossible, you'll have to calculate it again.

at the very least, you're 5" over on the midline.

Either you're describing your track wrong or you've measured your PAP wrong. Both can't be right. It's like describing yourself as a midget and then saying you're 6 foot tall.

Besides not seeing it, I can't feel it. I also have an easier tiem seeing the oil on a dark color than a light color such as my Intense.

Ditto loudstriker. . .No nicks, track burned into, etc. I love all my infernos a lot, the coverstock seems to be so durable. I hope they dont stop the inferno series. . .
--------------------
Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.
