Ambush Replacement
« on: February 25, 2018, 03:05:50 AM »
Hey there!

Been out of the game for a while...(10 years?!) I’m looking for a replacement for the BVP Ambush (love the light load particle/low rg combo) and also, Absolute Inferno.

Thanks!

Ben

For the Absolute inferno, Brunswick has come out with a new Absolute Inferno, using a stronger coverstock, to handle the newer, more viscous oils, but to give a similar ball reaction to the old one.

As for the Ambush, well, no manufacturer today will admit to using particles in their balls except Visionary, but almost every manufacturer does use particles in some balls. I don't know that Brunswick has a close replacement for it, given its performance numbers.

For me, polished dull ball is closest to a particle pearl. "Midlane with a dig they controls the backend flip" that u normally see with pearl balls... except they don't make particle much anymore.

I'd try an edge solid but polished by brunswick, numbers aren't exact, but the price is right online.  i loved the old ambush too, great underrated ball.

For the absolute, charlest is right.  can't go wrong trying the vintage inferno before it's gone for a long time.  Or try and scoop up a blue flame inferno before they're gone as well.
