Another Radical Drilling Needed
« on: August 03, 2006, 09:38:18 AM »
I thought I would ask you guys how to layout this Rad a friend of mine has. The ball has a 3" pin w/ 2.5 top wt. 15#. I dont know his pap right now but He is a up the back with high revs with med. speed 16.5 at pins. I`m thinking pin 5" from pap over fingers with cg. one inch right of center. Where should the bal. hole be? He has a absolute but rolls out by second game. It is a short pin so we had to drill it pin under with cg to right with no hole. He has problems keeping his balls for rolling out or should I say reading the midlane to soon. Thanks for your help.

I'd go the other way 2" x 1".
Low X-Hole for earlier smoother break.

I know thats how i'd drill mine with low top weight.

Thanks D Pat, I think the high 5 or 51/2 pin would be the best also. Sorry MegaMav, I dont know about going the otherway, his ball just rolls out so easy because of so much forward roll. He has a weird release with a ton of revs up the back with a broken wrist. With 2.5oz. top wt. I don`t think a wt. hole is needed?

no big deal, its how i would lay it out, im an up the back'er for the most part, and balls with the pin less than 3" from PAP read very well for me.

there are many answers, all of which could be right.

If we had more oil or a longer pattern you would be right. We are on wood lanes with 36 ft. THS and the shot moves quick. I`m move over 10 boards by the third game. Maybe the Radical will be too strong for him, we will see. Thanks again.

Well, according to the Brunswick video of the Radical it should go longer. Maybe it will help. Octane vs Ruff Buff activator.. Waiting for D Pats review!
