Brunswick... 12lb house balls??
« on: February 13, 2008, 11:49:07 AM »
Okay.. My center just got these new Brunswick 12lb house balls. They're a dark green/blue in color, and come highly polished. I was throwing one (because house balls are fun to throw. Don't make fun of me lol).. And umm.. This is no plastic ball. It hooks the whole lane with enough revs, and hits like a tank. It doesn't matter how the lanes are oiled (except for medium/heavy-heavy oil of course), but for medium oil and down, this ball is a BEAST. I don't get it. Why, is the question. Do brand new house balls always hook? Lol. This is a serious post. I'm not kidding. This balls are insane. With different hand positions, you can play any part of the lane. It skid/flips, hook/sets, and even sets early and arcs if it's in the friction early enough. I have no idea. I don't know if this thread will get any replies, but I find it fun to throw these things, and funny to know they're "house balls" lol. Thanks for reading!

The 14 lb lime green Linds ball hook like that in our center.  During the summer the lanes may on be oiled every couple days and the house balls actually read the pattern and hit harder than any of the high performance equipment.  It is insane to watch people play 20 out to 8 with a house ball and shred the rack.
