(im using as 15lb 4inch pin from PAP with a high gloss finish)
On a stroker type release, you will get the smooth reaction from the breakpoint and it isn't as sensitive to oil compared to other types of releases.
With a tweener/crankers type of release. Ball reactions will depend highly on oil conditions. In heavy oil, I have had the ball pretty much hydroplane through the entire lane, not even having the chance to grip the surface. But in drier conditions this release will give you the predicted skid-snap reaction advertised.
A weight hole would only increase track flare, but the coverstock condition is the more important factor on the amount of hook and drive into the pocket.
