What's better?
« on: April 25, 2007, 03:23:34 PM »
Is a Absolute or a Radical better? Just curious because I am going to get one of the two.

I know they are good in there own ways. What I meant to say was, what would be better for my arsenal. I am looking for something that would fit between my Doom and Black Widow. I will be getting a TPC Warrior, so I think that one will fit between my Black Hammer Faball and my Doom.

I don't know your current arsenal because I've never thrown any of those. But I kept hearing that people with a Black Widow AND a Radical Inferno is that they have the Radical under the black widow. In my opinion the absolute will play straighter and the radical more inside. Check out my video of the radical in the reviews and my profile. if you're too lazy to go there here ya go:

From my personal experence. The Radical was a flop for me and most around here, and the Absolute was one of the best balls i've ever owned.

IMO The Absolute is the way to go, everyone should own one, the Radical is just a gamble.

"Better" is always very relative. Well, overall I find the AI to be the more versatile or less risky ball. The RI has, also around here, left a very ambiguous picture. Nice snappy ball when the condition is right, otherwise over/under crap. Touchy thing, and noone could tell why. The RI seems to work better on less oil than the AI, a great later games ball when the AI would start burning out, and a half step upwards from the Smokin' Inferno in overall strength. For some a scuffed surface made the RI more useable. But personally, I'd consider the AI to be the more bowler-friendly ball, especially on fresh lanes.

On edit: if you want a ball to go "under " your BW, the RI or an SI might be the ticket, at least from an arsenal point of view.

I have them both and would agree that the Absolute was more versatile. The Radical was pretty good, but seemed "hot or cold" while the Absolute was one I could always find a shot with.

Crusher,

YOu sound so confused.

What are you actually looking for?

WHile many balls can potentially be "FORCED" between a Pain and a Black Widow, not many ball balls should be placed there, UNLESS the 3 balls are drilled VERY differently (emphasis on "VERY") or their surfaces are changes significantly.

I strongly suggest the Pain and the BW are decent goto balls, "Partners", as I call them.
