I threw a teammates ball this week in practice and was impressed with the length and power at the pin deck. However, the ball I was using was looking equally as good so without seeing a different lane condition I am unsure if I should purchase one. Would I be able to move in and play a deep line with this?

I lost interest in Brunswick when my Radical Inferno did not match up with my game, but I had good success with the Original and Ultimate Inferno.

Thanks for any input.

The Python is a great ball for fresh or broken down conditions. It has the updated version of the Original Inferno symmetrical core with the EnMotion coverstock. I have one drilled 70 Deg x 5" x 45 Deg using the dual angle technique. I am a high rev player with a 17 mph ball speed and usually play the inside part of the lane. With this ball I can play 15 at the arrows and 5 - 8 at the breakpoint on fresh house shots, and can usually chase the oil inside of 15 to 20 at the arrows and 10 at the breakpoint. It has a stronger arc and is a very good ball overall. With the core and coverstock combination, this ball works well in almost any condition.

The Radical Inferno was a hit-or-miss, no wonder you did not get happy. A stronger layout and scuffing the surface helped, but the OOB ball was... critical. Add the revvy low RG core, and you get over/under hell!

EnMotion has a very good length and glides easily through the heads, and reacts IMHO similar as the Octane cover from the Radical Inferno - even though less erratic. Could be risky, though, but adding surface (e. g. 4.000 Abralon) improves control considerably and makes the ball read the lane earlier. Not sure if it is really good for deep lines and the big hook, esp. on fresh lanes and carrydown.

Well I like to play deep but that is only because the outsides tend to get burnt out where I bowl. I have some vids from my profile which illustrate how I like to play up the boards but when warranted I will play a deep inside line or the big boomer if need be. My scores are always higher when I can keep my line tight.

Does the ball break hard off the dry? I usually just keep one ball for the skid/snap reaction.

I carry a Python just for conditions where I have to get my feet left and send the ball from oil to dry. It's stronger at the break than the Rattler, while being just as good in front as the Avalanches are.

FWIW, the Python was the only strike ball that I used for Doubles and Singles at the USBC Open in Las Vegas. Even towards the end of Singles, when we were all launching the gutter cap, the Python remained clean in front and recovered strongly enough to carry the corners.
