Looking for a Low Rg, symmetrical core oiler to pick up next.
Comparisons please? (posted in all three forums due to the, shall we say, potentially less than unbiased responses)...
Looking only for anyone who has thrown 2-3 of these candidates, not the probabilities from stats please.

Hate to pop the bubble, but the Big One ain't symmetrical. It actually has one of the strongest mass biases (sp) out in the market.

Technically it's a symmetrical mass bias ball. Core shape itself fits the symmetrical mold, but the densities are changed throughout the core to promote a huge mass bias differential. Kind of like how the power grooves are technically aysmmetrical but the differential of the mass bias is so minute it's like that of a normal symmetrical ball. But for the sake of simplicity, you're right. The other two don't have a mass bias, but the big one does (ironically, a big one).

Interesting, thanks for both comments. I saw the core shape, but remembered later about the MB differential. So, now I'm confused. Asyms and I just don't get along, but I wonder which way the Big One would react for me?

I really hate that I'm about to kind of go against what your original post said (not the probabilities from stats) but i've seen all three thrown. honestly, i haven't meant anyone that's been dissapointed with the big one. my dad just got one and it's an absolute animal! plays 7-10 boards deeper than with his ultimate. hits great too. hope this helps.

I have found that The One reacts for me like a mass bias ball. The Big One is the same weight block I believe but a stronger cover. So, if you don't like mass bias, I don't think you'll like these. Try a Scorchin' Inferno.

BigOne is Assemetrical... and honestly works very well for heavy oil, although I don't know how long the super oil absorbing shell will last before its trully soaked with oil. Anyway I rolled this at the TAT in vegas. I used TheOne first for around 2 games of practice on a fresh pair with the tourney shot laid out.. the Shot was fairly long, heavy blends and after around 30 shots the break point totally drifted deep. The carry down was so heavy that The One would not make a budge... So the Ebonite guys told me to grab the BigOne and play deep.. so I gripped and ripped the BigOne on this heavy oil carry down and the ball rolled, read early, and set up fast with a massive jerk to the hole, regardless of the carry down. I was utterly spellbound. It continued to yank at the break point, sometimes going really high, carrying well.. It is a serious soaker, with masive yank, and the shell just eats up oil. It defies physics in my mind.

Scorching rolls almost as strong as the BigOne, but its symetrical, thus more versitile and driller friendly.

Action by Columbia rolls even stronger than the Scorching Inferno, reading early and finishing harder, plus its out of box 1200 finish leaves you with alot of options if you wish to go 800 or 600 with the shell, matching the Scorching's 600 OOB finish, thus making it even stronger... I have personally had incredible results with the Actions OOB finish. It is my go to ball for heavy oil, using a reactive resin coverstock.
