Anyone polish a Fury?
« on: April 16, 2007, 06:48:29 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has polished up their fury yet and if it took the change well.  I was thinking about putting a little shine on mine to get a little more length out of it and save some power for the backend and when it hits the pins.

Let me know.....
Thanks

I have use my "Beans' Secret Sauce" to polish my Fury and it got much better length of course and really read the backs hard. The tack that was on the ball was amazing. You can order at www.beansproshop.com

the coverstock of your fury or any ball for that matter needs to match up to the lane conditions you bowl on. i've heard many say the fury was a waste of money or it's a bad ball when in fact it may not match up to the type of condition they're bowling on. in it's out of the box condition( 800 grit ) you're going to need to see some oil to get the most out of it. mine right now is finished with a 4,000 grit abralon pad---no polish. this works very well for certain conditions. i've used it duller for heavier/longer oil. i've also used it highly polished on medium conditions and got it to work well there. give this ball or any ball a chance and you may just find what you are looking for.

If I were to use the machine at the bowling alley to apply more polish to my Fury, should I plug up the holes with something first? I don't know if I need to plug them up or just not worry about it.

Thanks

DONT use those machines.

They have wax blocks that clog the pores.

Get it polished at the proshop.

No problem, it would really suck if you needed to refinish the ball.
I'd actually go green scotch brite (600 grit) and rough buff, instead of the grey (800 grit), it may squirt too much in the midlane
